English Therapy values your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. By using our services, you agree to the collection, storage, and processing of your personal information as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimer:
While English Therapy aims to provide high-quality English courses, specific outcomes or results cannot be guaranteed. The progress and success of each student may vary based on individual effort, dedication, and external factors. English Therapy is not responsible for any direct or indirect damages or losses incurred as a result of using our services.
Changes to Terms and Conditions:
English Therapy reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. It is your responsibility to review the Terms and Conditions periodically for any updates.
Publicity:
By joining any English Therapy school, you can take and share photos and videos of us and in return, we might make you famous by having you in our marketing materials!
If you do not wish for your images or videos to be used in publicity, please inform us in writing before you start your course.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction:
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where English Therapy is registered. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.
Online Courses
Refunds
Refund Conditions:
- After the start date of an English Therapy Online Course, any lesson hours that are not attended, reduced, cancelled, or shortened are non-refundable.
- If there are extenuating circumstances that caused you to miss or cancel the lesson/group class on short notice, refunds may be granted at the discretion of English Therapy. However, if approved, only 50% of the fee for that class will be refunded.
- No refund will be issued if the user has lost connection due to the absence of Internet access, factory reset, or updates.
- If you fail to submit a refund request within the stated period, that is 7 calendar days after the class date, you can request us to return the credits to balance for future lessons.
Payments
- Payments for our online English courses are accepted in advance through credit/debit cards via our Paypal Payment Gateway.
- A legally binding agreement between you and English Therapy is made when we have accepted your offer to buy our course, which is done by sending you an invoice and receiving payment of the fees from you.
- English Therapy may cancel or decline your order, in part or in whole, until it has been confirmed as a legally binding agreement.
Cancellation and Rescheduling
Cancellation:
- If you wish to cancel a session, you must inform us at least 24 hours before the session starts, taking time differences into account.
- If you cancel a session less than 24 hours before the start time, it will be counted as attended and non-refundable.
- You may cancel your course 14 days before it starts and receive a full refund.
Rescheduling:
- If your assigned teacher is not present in the virtual classroom within 10 minutes of the scheduled start time due to internet issues, the lesson will be rescheduled and added to the end of your course.
- If you are more than 15 minutes late to the start of a lesson without informing us at least 12 hours in advance, the lesson will count, and there will be no refund or rescheduling.
Refund Process:
- To request a refund, email info@englishtherapy.co.uk with your name, details, date and time of the lesson, reason for the requested refund, and your teacher’s name.
- The refund decision shall be made within 30 calendar days.
- Refunds are at English Therapy’s sole discretion to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Refund Limitations:
- You may receive only one refund per request.
- English Therapy is not responsible for any kind of fees charged by banks or third-party payment processors and will not cover them when initiating a refund.
- In the case of a refund, its speed and availability on your bank account will depend solely on your bank’s terms and policies. The exact refund amount will depend on the GBP to your payment method’s currency exchange rate on the date the refund is initiated.
Billing Currency and Foreign Exchange Risk
- Payment transactions will be processed in GBP, even if prices are shown in your local currency.
- If your selected currency differs from your payment method’s billing currency, your payment may be processed outside your country of residence, leading to potential fees such as international transaction fees and foreign exchange fees.
- English Therapy shall not be responsible for such fees and currency fluctuations and disclaims all liability in this regard. Contact your bank or credit card company for details on fees or exchange rates.
Scheduling Conditions
It is your responsibility to check your scheduled classes in the English Therapy correspondence. Scheduled times are based on the UK time zone, day, and time.
Technology Requirements
- To access the virtual classroom, you must have a personal computer (PC), Mac desktop, laptop, iPad, or smartphone, and use either Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browsers.
- For online one-to-one classes, a recommended internet speed is 5 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload.
- For online group classes, a recommended internet speed is 8 Mbps download and 4 Mbps upload.
